Diaghilev was the impresario of the Ballet Ruse. The dancers and choreographers are among the best of all time; Nijinsky, Karasvina, Pavlova, Fokine, Balanchine and many more. He commissioned renowned composers like Stravinsky to write the scores. Contemporary artists like Picasso created the set designs. It was an era from early 20th worth knowing about.
