To show my gratitude for all the blessings of the harvest, I will give the DVD Each Day in the Year of the Fire Dog to the first person to comment on this post. I am adding 3 postcards relating to Lughnasa today with more information below.

Lughnasa, aka Lammas, is the Celtic celebration of the first harvest, grains. Being one of the 4 fire festivals that is determined by the mid point between the Solstice and Equinox, it is celebrated over a period of several days, rather than exact moments like the Solstice. When I made these cards I was visiting my beloved Colorado so I used these vintage cards of Rocky Mountain National Park as the start of the card.

What a wonderful thing you have done to make these postcards! It takes a lot o discipline (at least it would for me) to carry out a project like that. Well done! I hope you keep posting them as I am learning things I did not know. Thank you!
Hi, Kathleen, Love your postcards. I've been learning about the different celebrations and the customs so your blog is perfect timing. I particularly appreciate that you created the cards in Colorado, one of my favorite places, too. Love and light, Fox

What a good way you have integrated the color in the card with the colors of the postage stamps.
Thank you and congratulations on winning the DVD. Soon you will see all 730 - front and back, but I will continue to add them here. Let me know what you think after you watch!
Thanks, I was a good learning experience and also one that allowed me to share studies of a lifetime.
Marti, your sites are rich and inspiring. I did not see any postcards, but seeing your apartment in Paris gave me a pleasant imagined trip there. the CC class is great, isn't it - meeting new friends, I admire your work!
